Instructions:
- Prepare a campfire or charcoal grill for medium heat.
- Cut sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil into squares, about 12x12 inches each.
- Lay out the foil squares on a flat surface.
- In a bowl, toss your chosen protein with a drizzle of olive oil or melted butter and your desired seasonings.
- Place a portion of the protein in the center of each foil square.
- Add your choice of assorted vegetables on top of the protein.
- If using, add optional add-ins such as lemon slices or fresh herbs.
- Drizzle a bit more olive oil or melted butter over the vegetables.
- Sprinkle with additional seasonings to taste.
- Fold the foil over the ingredients to create a packet. Seal the edges tightly, leaving a little space for steam to circulate inside.
- Place the foil packets on the campfire grate or grill, cooking for about 15-20 minutes. Flip the packets halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Carefully open a packet to check for doneness. The protein should be fully cooked, and the vegetables should be tender.
- Remove the packets from the heat and let them cool slightly before carefully opening them.
- Serve the delicious contents directly from the foil packets or transfer to plates.
